Pixacom: Where were you born, and how was life growing up?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I was born in Knoxville, TN. My family is from Bristol, TN. There is no hospital there so we had to go to Knoxville! I didn’t do much growing up there lol. I then relocated to Greensboro, NC for a while. Loved it there. I have tons of family there. I moved to Houston when I was 9. I had a short stint in New Orleans, LA and then moved back to Houston.

Pixacom: What nationality are you?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I’m American lol. However, as far as race goes…. I’m a multitude of things. A bit of African American, Native American some Jewish, and probably a little bit of everything else too.

Pixacom: What would the average person say about you?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I’m artistic, quirky and hilarious!

Pixacom: What kind of stuff did you get into after high school?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I went to college at LSU (Louisiana State University) Geaux Tigers! I also broke into the modeling game in my third year of school. I’ve been bitten by the bug. I can’t leave!

Pixacom: How did you get into modeling?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: My cousin is a model in Atlanta, GA. She encouraged me to put up a profile on Modelmayhem.com. From there, I went to my first casting for a fashion show in New Orleans and the rest is history!

Pixacom: How long have you been modeling?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: About 3.5 years

Pixacom: Have you done any Nude modeling?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I’ve done some implied, but I’ll never do full on nudity.

Pixacom: How did you feel doing your first nude photo shoot?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Wasn’t a problem at all. I’m comfortable in my own skin.

Pixacom: How did you feel being in front of the camera for the first time?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I was a bit nervous but I shook it out. It was soooo much fun!

Pixacom: How did you feel walking into your photoshoot?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I felt nervously confident. I knew I had it in me. I just had to let loose and let go.

Pixacom: So would you say you are comfortable now?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Definitely.

Pixacom: Would you say you are pretty comfortable with your body?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Of course

Pixacom: What would you say is your best feature?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Can I pick two? My freckles and my hair.

Andrea "Starburst" Price: Nope

Pixacom: What’s the best thing about being a model?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: The free clothes! Oh, and walking on the catwalk. It’s a rush.

Pixacom: What do you do differently to set yourself apart from other models?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I always remain true to my artistic self. I’m not afraid to take risks and I try to implement my own style into every shoot.

Pixacom: Where do you hope your modeling will take you?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: To infinity and beyond! I hope to use this as a stepping stone to break into the film industry and as a platform to sell my artwork.

Pixacom: Any highlights in your modeling career?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I’m anticipating my major highlight very soon… but its top secret! Thus far, I would have to say walking in a fashion show hosted by the diva herself, Ms. Eva Pigford.

Pixacom: Where can we find you on a typical weekend, if you aren't doing a photoshoot?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Painting, shopping, attending a jam session or being silly with friends.

Pixacom: What keeps you busy away from modeling?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: The God-awful 9-5! Having my “real” job ties up my time…. Sometimes.

Pixacom: What do you want to do outside of modeling?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I want to be the greatest artist… and humanitarian.

Pixacom: Five years from now, where do you see yourself?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I see myself as a major success. By then, I will have conquered all of my goals and maybe have a mini-me on the way.

Pixacom: What is the coolest thing a fan has ever done for you?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: They made a Tomb-Raider poster/collage of me out of my Tomb-raider inspired shoot. (I call the shoot Swamp-Raider because I shot it in New Orleans.)

Pixacom: Any photographers you enjoy working with or hope to work with?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I had a great time with all of my photographers. It would be a DREAM to shoot with Markus Klinko and Indrani.

Pixacom: Which internet websites would you say you spend most of your time at?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: ModelMayhem.com, Facebook.com, Myspace.com and Hulu.com.

Pixacom: Do you travel much for your modeling?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Yes, when necessary.

Pixacom: Do you like all the traveling?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Love it.

Pixacom: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Mumbai, Tokyo, and any tropical place. I love the beach.

Pixacom: If you could play lead role in any type of movie, What kind of movie would it be?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Action adventure! I’d love to be a heroine.

Pixacom: Do you have a favorite Car?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Technically it’s a truck but I’m in love with the Mercedes G500. I know most people think its not all that great but I love it anyway. It makes me want to go on an African safari.

Pixacom: What do you think about strip clubs?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Great hang-out spot.

Pixacom: Do you have a favorite drink when at clubs or bars?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I’m not much of a drinker. But if I do… a nice glass of Rose or Nuvo would do just fine.

Pixacom: How about a favorite food to go along with the drink?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I love RICE and chicken…. In any combination as long as the two are together.

Pixacom: What kind of music are you listening to these days?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: A little bit of everything. If I think it sounds good… I listen to it.

Pixacom: Tell us something you got away with?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I’ve gotten out of quite a few speeding tickets.

Pixacom: Which celebrity would you like to meet and why?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Erykah Badu. She’s amazing to me… She’s one of the few people I’d actually be starstruck over. She’s gorgeous and an inspiring artist/musician.

 

 

Pixacom: Best pickup line you've ever heard?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Can’t think of one… I guess a starting off the convo in a NORMAL manner would work. A simple “hello how are you” works.

Pixacom: Worst pickup line you've ever heard?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Hey girl… we’re facebook friends… give me your number.

Pixacom: What the worst prank you've ever played on anyone?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: I pretended I cut off all my hair with a wig… they were furious!

Pixacom: What the worst prank anyone has ever played on you?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Someone pretended to have a psychotic breakdown during a baby shower. I thought I was going to have the breakdown.

Pixacom: How would you feel if a guy passed gas on a first date?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Offended. I know its natural… but come on… first date? Gross.

Pixacom: Find a lamp and out pops a Genie, you get one wish, what would it be?
Andrea "Starburst" Price: Infinite amounts of money. I can do everything else with the money.

Andrea "Starburst" Price: Tall, brown skinned, with beautiful hair and eyes… And I can’t forget I love a nice toned body… not body-builder though. Think point guard. And a sense of humor is a must!

Andrea "Starburst" Price: It depends on if I liked them… They can call… I might not answer for a few days lol!! J.k

Andrea "Starburst" Price: One that is insecure and smothering!

Andrea "Starburst" Price: Be honest at all times… even when it hurts.

Andrea "Starburst" Price: Standing under the freeway while giving him change in his cup.

Andrea "Starburst" Price: I pamper myself. I give myself treats. I know I deserve it. Who better to spoil me than me!

Andrea "Starburst" Price: Definitely. I plan to go above and beyond. Through my artwork, my acting and modeling skills… I plan to be a brand!

Andrea "Starburst" Price: I can’t release the details of the TV ventures I’m doing just yet… but I’ll be featured in a couple of Houston based magazines and I’m in a fashion show at the Galleria on Aug. 22.
