Pixacom: Where were you born, and how was life growing up?
Carla Brown: I was born in Basildon, Essex in the UK - people from outside
the UK may have heard about 'Essex girls', if not google it ;). It's not a
great area but I love my family so I had a fantastic upbringing. I was a
tomboy and used to climb trees, collect snails, swim in swamps and various
other disgusting things. I haven't changed much.

Pixacom: What nationality are you?
Carla Brown: British

Pixacom: What would the average person say about you?
Carla Brown: I don't fraternise with average people. Only joking, they'd
probably say I'm really odd.

Pixacom: What kind of stuff did you get into after high school?
Carla Brown: I was a good girl and went to college (not sure what you call
it in the US) then University to do a degree, then a Masters and I'll start
a Phd/doctorate soon. I've always worked and after college I worked as a
comedy booking agent booking gigs for comedians. I also went travelling
around South East Asia.

Pixacom: How did you get into modeling?
Carla Brown: I used to do art and design a lot after college and one day
the life drawing model didn't show so I had to fill in. I started doing this
regularly and then realised that I should make the most of being comfortable
naked so sent some pictures off to an agency. My first modelling job was
Page 3 for the Sun newspaper.

Pixacom: How long have you been modeling?
Carla Brown: 8 years, I'm an old timer.

Pixacom: Have you done any Nude modeling?
Carla Brown: Yes a little bit, mainly for Playboy. I don't mind it at all,
I'm comfortable with nudity.

Pixacom: How did you feel doing your first nude photo shoot?
Carla Brown: A bit weird. It's kind of like that nightmare you have where
you realise you're naked in public and everyone's looking at you. Except
it's real.

Pixacom: How did you feel being in front of the camera for the first time?
Carla Brown: Nervous at first but I soon got into it. Looking back at the
pictures now I can see I was nervous, I looked like a rabbit caught in the
headlights. In sexy lingerie. What a strange mental image.....

Pixacom: How did you feel walking into your photo shoot?
Carla Brown: Confused as at first I walked into the wrong room and there
was a man playing a piano. I assumed that was standard procedure for
photoshoots, then he asked me to leave.

Pixacom: So would you say you are comfortable now?
Carla Brown: I'm comfortable technically speaking but often uncomfortable
literally. For some reason there is some fluke of nature that means the most
uncomfortable positions are the most flattering for your figure. Grrr.

Pixacom: Would you say you are pretty comfortable with your body?
Carla Brown: Yes, I'd say comfortable is different to happy. I'm not
completely happy with my body but I've come to realise life's too short to
worry about it, so yes I'm comfortable with it now.

Pixacom: What would you say is your best feature?
Carla Brown: My brain.

Pixacom: Are you enhanced with Plastic Surgery?
Carla Brown: Nope, not that I know of.

Pixacom: What's the best thing about being a model?
Carla Brown: The variation. Most jobs are monotonous and predictable but
with modelling you're always doing different things and meeting different
people. Two days are never the same.

Pixacom: What do you do differently to set yourself apart from other models?
Carla Brown: I approach modelling like a formal job. I'm reliable and
professional, often researching a job beforehand and providing references,
that kind of thing.

Pixacom: Where do you hope your modeling will take you?
Carla Brown: I hope it's a spring board for something else, I'd love to
get into comedy acting or writing. I do some freelance journalism so I'd
like to take this further too.

Pixacom: Any highlights in your modeling career?
Carla Brown: running across Tower Bridge in London dressed as a giant
tomato - who else can say they've done that eh?

Pixacom: Where can we find you on a typical weekend, if you aren't doing a photo shoot?
Carla Brown: Lion-taming, sky-diving and simultaneously finding a cure for
cancer. Not really, I'm usually at home sat at my laptop. Zzzzz.

Pixacom: What keeps you busy away from modeling?
Carla Brown: Running my publishing company keeps me VERY busy. If I need
to let off steam I go to a judo class and get thrown around for a couple of
hours.

Pixacom: What do you want to do outside of modeling?
Carla Brown: Make my publishing company a huge success; do a
Phd/doctorate; learn Chinese; dive with great white sharks; get a black belt
in judo; travel the world; write a book - argh, so much to do so little
time!

Pixacom: Five years from now, where do you see yourself?
Carla Brown: President.

Pixacom: What is the coolest thing a fan has ever done for you?
Carla Brown: Cooled me down. Oh you mean a human fan? One guy gave me a
lift back from Birmingham to London after a job and the trains were down
(it's quite far so that was sweet of him).

Pixacom: Any photographers you enjoy working with or hope to work with?
Carla Brown: I really wanted to work with Onyx so I was distraught to hear
about his passing, a sad day for the modelling industry.

Pixacom: Which Internet websites would you say you spend most of your time at?
Carla Brown: www.glamourstarslive.com because I run it! Also comedy sites
like Funny or Die, and I LOVE the Onion especially the videos.

Pixacom: Do you travel much for your modeling?
Carla Brown: Yes wherever necessary, I've even travelled back in time once
for a photographer called Doc. Oh no wait that's the film 'Back to the
Future'. My memory isn't what it used to be.

Pixacom: Do you like all the traveling?
Carla Brown: Sometimes it's exciting but when I've done lots of trips back
to back I get sick of it, and long distance flying always makes me ill.
Also, I don't drive and public transport in the UK sucks so that makes it
difficult.

Pixacom: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Carla Brown: the moon.

Pixacom: If you could play lead role in any type of movie, What kind of movie would it be?
Carla Brown: an action movie where I get to kick the sh*t out of lots of
people. Because I'm little I have a Napoleon complex.

 

Pixacom: What do you think about strip clubs?
Carla Brown: I like them, there's something mesmerising about watching
strippers and pole dancers in particular - some of those girls can do some
amazing things with their bodies. I won't mention the strip clubs in
Thailand....

Pixacom: Do you have a favorite drink when at clubs or bars?
Carla Brown: Tea. Just to be different.

Pixacom: How about a favorite food to go along with the drink?
Carla Brown: Thai green chicken curry.

Pixacom: What kind of music are you listening to these days?
Carla Brown: Acoustic, I'm old school. I like AC/DC, Bob Dylan, Tracey
Chapman. Oh and Muse are great.

Pixacom: Tell us something you got away with?
Carla Brown: Murder, mwarrrrrhhh harrrr harrrrr *evil laugh*

Pixacom: Which celebrity would you like to meet and why?
Carla Brown: Kanye West so I could punch him, that man is so arrogant.

Pixacom: Best pickup line you've ever heard?
Carla Brown: "Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?"

Pixacom: Worst pickup line you've ever heard?
Carla Brown: "Don't I know you?". Perrlease.

Pixacom: If you could be a super hero, what would that superhero be like?
Carla Brown: really boring. I'm too lazy to do super hero shit like save
the world, so I'd probably just use my powers to heat microwave meals with
my hands and turn the TV on without getting up.

Pixacom: What the worst prank you've ever played on anyone?
Carla Brown: put superglue on a phone so it stuck to the person's head.
They had to go to hospital and it ripped some of their skin off. Funny
though.

Pixacom: What the worst prank anyone has ever played on you?
Carla Brown: it involved laxatives, that's all I'm saying.

Pixacom: How would you feel if a guy passed gas on a first date?
Carla Brown: I'd like it, it's my fetish. Not really.

Pixacom: Find a lamp and out pops a Genie, you get one wish, what would it
be?
Carla Brown: A donut. (well I'm sure everyone has said
money/happiness/peace/more wishes etc.)

Pixacom: We grant you the power to create the perfect man. Describe the
features you would include?
Carla Brown: If it was perfect it wouldn't be a man now would it? Eh, eh?
See what I did there? I made a joke about how crap men are, man I kill me.

Pixacom: Give us the dirt on your dating life. Any first date rules?
Carla Brown: No rohypnol. That's pretty much it.

Pixacom: Do you kiss on the first date?
Carla Brown: Yeah and the rest! From Essex remember.

Pixacom: How many kids in high school have asked you out?
Carla Brown: None. I was immensely ugly.

Pixacom: Should a person call right away or wait a few days?
Carla Brown: Whatever they want, they shouldn't play any games, I can't be
arsed with that stuff.

Pixacom: What kind of guy bugs you?
Carla Brown: Fake, vain, shallow men that think they can bullshit their
way into my knickers.

Pixacom: What does a guy need to do to make you stay?
Carla Brown: Rope and handcuffs should do it.

Pixacom: What's the worst place to meet a guy?
Carla Brown: An STD clinic.

Pixacom: On a date... What does the person have to do to make it perfect for you?
Carla Brown: Be themselves, make me laugh, take me somewhere interesting
and fun. Then roger me senseless.

Carla Brown: Can't I have both?

Pixacom: If we snuck into your bedroom, what could we find you sleeping in?
Carla Brown: a bed? What other answers have there been - cocoon? Coffin?

Carla Brown: Exercise of some kind usually does it.

Pixacom: What does a guy have to do to make you feel sexy?
Carla Brown: be affectionate and complimentary, nice kisses and a massage.

Carla Brown: I like being wrapped in strong arms.

Pixacom: Do you have any dreams or goals you're shooting for?
Carla Brown: Loads - a Phd, a published book, being fluent in a particle
language, a black belt in a martial art and the success of my publishing
company.
