Pixacom: Where were you born, and how was life growing up?
Samantha Lockwood: I was born in Los Angeles, at Cedars Sinai Hospital. I was then raised in Malibu. I was an only child between my parents.
Both of them were successful actors. My childhood was a blast! I always had lots of aunties and uncles around..I was very loved. I'm very close with my Dad and my Mother.
Pixacom: What nationality are you?
Samantha Lockwood: Well that's complicated... my Dad is Polish and German, my mom is mostly French with a touch of Cherokee Indian in there! So, I'm a mutt!
Pixacom: What would the average person say about you?
Samantha Lockwood: I really don't know. Who is average anyways? Maybe they'd say, "She's funny" or "She's flexible" or "She's charming" or maybe "She knows a lot about fish!"
Pixacom: What kind of stuff did you get into after high school?
Samantha Lockwood: Stuff? Well... University is what I got into next! I've always been studying my acting through high school and university.
Pixacom: How did you get into modeling?
Samantha Lockwood: My first modeling experience was for the cover of Earnshaws, when I was five years old. It was in Hawaii! I can't say that it "got me into" modeling per say...but it was my first experience taking directions from someone with a camera and wearing clothes that didn't belong to me! lol. I really got into modeling more recently. I did some in high school... but I do more now for Bikram Yoga and for various yoga modeling jobs. This year I had the honor of wearing the most famous dress in the world down the runway it was called "The Hollywood Graffitti Gown". It's taken over 25 years to make. It's black velvet and it has the signatures of over 350 famous women embroidered in the fabric.
Pixacom: How long have you been modeling?
Samantha Lockwood: Since I was about 20 for real. I've had some experience prior ..but nothing to talk about.
Pixacom: Have you done any Nude modeling?
Samantha Lockwood: No, never.
Pixacom: How did you feel being in front of the camera for the first time?
Samantha Lockwood: Just fine. What is frustrating is seeing your photos after your first shoot! That's the toughest part! You learn as you keep doing more shoots...You learn which poses and which looks work for you. Experience is key.

Pixacom: Would you say you are pretty comfortable with your body?
Samantha Lockwood: Yes.
Pixacom: What would you say is your best feature?
Samantha Lockwood: That's tough..I guess it's a tie between my ass, my lips, my eyes, or my nose. I like them all. Maybe it's my lips...they have a cool uncommon shape.
Pixacom: Are you enhanced with Plastic Sugery?
Samantha Lockwood: No.
Pixacom: What's the best thing about being a model?
Samantha Lockwood: Acting. Also I like meeting cool makeup artists, and cool photographers. I like working with people in this field because they meet so many people that the conversation can be very intriguing.
Likewise I've met a few who are a little lamo too.
Pixacom: What do you do differently to set yourself apart from other models?
Samantha Lockwood: Well I'm an actor...so I use my face for expression more than a lot of models. I've been hired as a model many times because of that aspect. Being able to take a direction for an emotion is just as important on a still camera as it is on a movie camera. Not to mention I can do some very cool poses with my yoga background.
Pixacom: Where do you hope your modeling will take you?
Samantha Lockwood: The Top.
Pixacom: Any highlights in your modeling career?
Samantha Lockwood: Working with Sascha Knopf. She's a great actress, friend and photographer. www.saschaknopf.com

Pixacom: Where can we find you on a typical weekend, if you aren't doing a photoshoot?
Samantha Lockwood: In LA or some far-off country acting or teaching yoga.
If I'm not there painting at my parents house in La Quinta.
Pixacom: What keeps you busy away from modeling?
Samantha Lockwood: Yoga, Acting & Painting
Pixacom: What do you want to do outside of modeling?
Samantha Lockwood: Besides the above mentioned, I would like to learn how to fly a plane and race cars and most of all I want to swim with Shamu!
Pixacom: Five years from now, where do you see yourself?
Samantha Lockwood: As a very successful actress. Living in a home by the sea. Thinking about starting up my own yoga school. Still taking acting jobs and modeling jobs and writing my first feature for me to direct. Maybe thinking about having a kid in five years.
Pixacom: What is the coolest thing a fan has ever done for you?
Samantha Lockwood: Supported me. Cheesy but so true.
Pixacom: Any photographers you enjoy working with or hope to work with?
Samantha Lockwood: I love working with Sascha Knopf, Matthew Heckerling, Josue Pena, & Dominick Guillmont. I've always wanted to shoot with Annie Leibowitz and David La Chapelle...both for very different reasons!
Pixacom: Which internet websites would you say you spend most of your time at?
Samantha Lockwood: Well my own right now since I'm building a new site for my art www.samanthalockwoodart.com and one for my earrings www.fleurings.com ...
For fun and friends I go on modelmayhem.com, Facebook.com and sometimes myspace.com
Pixacom: Do you travel much for your modeling?
Samantha Lockwood: Yes. But, most jobs I do take place where I live in Los Angeles.
Pixacom: Do you like all the traveling?
Samantha Lockwood: I love it! I've been around the world! I went to India when I was 13 and it was the most elightening experience to see that place at that young age. I've been to Korea with my best friend in high school... Soo Eun. I've spent every summer in my house in Canada in a small town called Carleton Place. And I've traveled all over Europe.
Pixacom: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Samantha Lockwood: I want to go to New Zealand, Australia and South America... soon!

Pixacom: If you could play lead role in any type of movie, What kind of movie would it be?
Samantha Lockwood: Well I already played the lead in a western and I loved that. I would love to do that again. But, here's the thing with that question: it doesn't matter what kind of movie or genre... What matters is that the character is interesting, authentic and has good dialogue. Dialogue is so important. I like funny, kick ass, take no shit, loving and happy characters! But, that doesn't mean that maybe the best role of my life will be something totally different from those characteristics.
Pixacom: Do you have a favorite Car?
Samantha Lockwood: Yes... and one day I plan to own one.. only because it's something I've always wanted. A lamborghini.
Pixacom: What do you think about strip clubs?
Samantha Lockwood: Nothing.
Pixacom: What kind of music are you listening to these days?
Samantha Lockwood: Lilly Allen, 80's tunes in general ... I like a lot of different music.
Pixacom: Which celebrity would you like to meet and why?
Samantha Lockwood: Meryl Streep. I actually don't really just want to meet her, I want to work with her. If we only ever meet, then I wouldn't really have any questions... I would probably just tell her what I wanted to do and see if she gave her blessings or not. Sometimes asking too much to anyone is just annoying!
Pixacom: What the worst prank you've ever played on anyone?
Samantha Lockwood: I convinced my girlfriends that I had gotten engaged to a guy they all hated. That was really funny! I gave them all heartattacks! lol. I even got myself a fake ring to add to the persuasion.
Pixacom: How would you feel if a guy passed gas on a first date?
Samantha Lockwood: It's not what you do it's how you do it... so if he did it by accident and he made a joke or charmingly sort of got embarrassed or something I wouldn't care. But, if he just leaned over and cranked one out without even blinking I would feel disgusted.
Pixacom: Find a lamp and out pops a Genie, you get one wish, what would it be?
Samantha Lockwood: A unicorn.

Pixacom: We grant you the power to create the perfect man. Describe the features you would include?
Samantha Lockwood:
Multi talented
Kind Hearted
Good Cook
Hard Worker
Good Looking
Innovative
Artistic
Talented
Classy
Charismatic
Charming
Funny
Inteligent
Romantic
Full Lips
Great Ass
Tall
Passionate
Loyal
Pixacom: Give us the dirt on your dating life. Any first date rules?
Samantha Lockwood: I'm dating a guy who is handsome, smart, funny and very cool. He will be one of the best directors out there! His name is Peter Winther. We are best friends. I don't have rules for first dates. My only rule is get to be friends first. See if you actually like who they are before you start to get sexual.
Pixacom: Do you kiss on the first date?
Samantha Lockwood: Not really.... like on the cheek sure.. but no more than that. I think first dates are just for interviewing... seeing who the person is really. What are they like?
Pixacom: Should a person call right away or wait a few days?
Samantha Lockwood: Well you know when is the right time. Ususally if you want to call pretty badly then the other person would like to hear from you. If you want to call in my opinion then that means there was chemistry... even if one of you felt it more than the other. Even if that is the case you should pursue until otherwise notified or hinted by the other person that they are no longer interested. So call! Don't wait!
Pixacom: What kind of guy bugs you?
Samantha Lockwood: Dweeby, skinny, impatient, talk to much, talk to little, mama's boys, push overs, guys who are bullys... really anyone who is too much one way or another bugs me.
Pixacom: What does a guy need to do to make you stay?
Samantha Lockwood: Love me, Stay Loyal, Stay Funny, Keep his job.. and if I still hate him...well.. he has to get really creative! lol. Take me to a far away island, make me rich and get me a unicorn or a castle with fairies. Get my drift! He has to go way out of his way... because I usually won't just leave for no reason. If a chick leaves its'
because he's did something wrong repeatedly which needs major making up... if it can be made up. That's just the way it goes. If a guy is a good guy, well then he just needs to love me, stay loyal, stay funny and keep his job. ;)

Pixacom: What's the worst place to meet a guy?
Samantha Lockwood: A bar. But, I'm no relationship guru, so what do I know. Perhaps many good relationships have started in bars. I think it's good to meet people in places where you would like to be. Like for me the yoga studio. That way at least I know the guy does my kind of yoga and for me that's a big plus.
Pixacom: On a date... What does the person have to do to make it perfect for you?
Samantha Lockwood: Just be polite and don't be nervous. Nervousness isn't charming. Just stay cool so that I stay cool. If the guy is not comfortable then I wonder what the heck is he thinking about that's making this so uncomfortable!!!
Pixacom: Leather or lace?
Samantha Lockwood: LACE!
Pixacom: If we snuck into your bedroom, what could we find you sleeping in?
Samantha Lockwood: Which night? lol. Well depends on the weather.
Pixacom: Do you have any fantasies?
Samantha Lockwood: Sure. You don't need to know.
Pixacom: What do you do to feel sexy?
Samantha Lockwood: Exercise until I have a good sweat, take a shower and get dressed nicely.

Pixacom: What does a guy have to do to make you feel sexy?
Samantha Lockwood: He just has to think I'm sexy and then I will know...that makes you feel sexy. Just knowing he thinks you are sexy.
Pixacom: What is it about a man, sexually, that you like?
Samantha Lockwood: A hot body. A good kisser. Kissing is important.
Pixacom: Do you have any dreams or goals you're shooting for?
Samantha Lockwood: I hope to have an extensive and long career as an actress. I plan to eventually direct some movies too. I did have some directing training and I loved it. I plan to have my own Bikram Yoga School one day and I hope that my earrings called Fleurings will gain popularity and success. Then I want to have a happy and healthy family later in life.
Pixacom: Where can we expect to see you at in the future? (Tv, Movies, Events)
Samantha Lockwood: Well you'll see me on TV and Movies, as far as events go you'll see me going to charity functions and movie premieres and things like that. In LA there are awards shows for everything and sometimes I go to those. I try to attend meetings at Women in Film where I am a memeber. I try to go to a lot of their events in LA and in Palm Springs. Last year I attended the WIF International Summit in Toronto. It was remarkable to see all these women from all over the world with such a passion for movies and storytelling.

Pixacom: Do you want to say anything to your fans?
Samantha Lockwood: Thank you very much for your support.
Pixacom: Do you have anything to say to your supporters and your future fans?
Samantha Lockwood: Thank you very much for your support and future support! Keep doing your Bikram Yoga and stay cool everyone.
