Pixacom: Where were you born, and how was life growing up?
Amanda Redd: I was born in Auburn, AL as an only child. I had a picture perfect childhood… daughter of a psychologist and a Vet school professor. I had great parents and great friends up until I hit puberty… then it hit the fan, so to speak.
Pixacom: What nationality are you?
Amanda Redd: Scottish, Irish, German descent
Pixacom: What would the average person say about you?
Amanda Redd: She’s a workaholic who takes on more projects than she can handle and she’s too thin. Outgoing, kinda pretty, and doesn’t do anything the way “normal” people do things.
Pixacom: What kind of stuff did you get into after high school?
Amanda Redd: um… trouble, but that started way before high school.
Pixacom: How did you get into modeling?
Amanda Redd: A friend of mine started doing photography and wanted me to pose for her. She started an online portfolio for me and I quit my desk job shortly afterwards realizing that someone who is 5’4” actually can make a living this way; albeit on the fringes of the industry.
Pixacom: How long have you been modeling?
Amanda Redd: My first photoshoot was September 5, 2006
Pixacom: Have you done any Nude modeling?
Amanda Redd: That’s mostly what I do.
Pixacom: How did you feel doing your first nude photo shoot?
Amanda Redd: It really didn’t bother me since my friend was the one shooting me and she’d seen me naked plenty of times before.
Pixacom: How did you feel being in front of the camera for the first time?
Amanda Redd: It was a little nerve wracking since I never thought I was photogenic. I might have had the upper hand a little bit since I’d been doing independent films for a while before… it was a little scarier for me to do still acting though.
Pixacom: How did you feel walking into your photoshoot?
Amanda Redd: Pretty silly like I was pretending to be something I’m not but I was excited as well.
Pixacom: So would you say you are comfortable now?
Amanda Redd: Absolutely. I’d say after about my 3rd shoot I was completely at ease.
Pixacom: Would you say you are pretty comfortable with your body?
Amanda Redd: Relatively… Everyone has some issues with their body I think. I have some insecurities about my low weight and my under eye circles.

Pixacom: What would you say is your best feature?
Amanda Redd: Definitely my hair.
Pixacom: Are you enhanced with Plastic Sugery?
Amanda Redd: nope
Pixacom: What’s the best thing about being a model?
Amanda Redd: the travel, meeting new people, and networking. I have the say the travel trumps all.
Pixacom: What do you do differently to set yourself apart from other models?
Amanda Redd: I try to have fun and can often be seen making completely ridiculous faces (please don’t start posting outtakes photographers). I definitely get silly on shoots, but when it’s time for work, I work.
Pixacom: Where do you hope your modeling will take you?
Amanda Redd: I’d like to do more commercial work, but overall I’m pretty happy with where I am in my modeling. It does get me roles in movies occasionally and acting is my preference.
Pixacom: Any highlights in your modeling career?
Amanda Redd: Getting my first cover! It was a huge high for me.
Pixacom: Where can we find you on a typical weekend, if you aren't doing a photoshoot?
Amanda Redd: Acting in independent films, studying, or watching HGTV. I hardly ever go out and I like it that way.
Pixacom: What keeps you busy away from modeling?
Amanda Redd: School and acting and volunteering at the Crisis Center leave little room for down time.

Pixacom: What do you want to do outside of modeling?
Amanda Redd: Acting Acting Acting! I find it’s more rewarding than modeling.
Pixacom: Five years from now, where do you see yourself?
Amanda Redd: I’m moving to Los Angeles in March, so I’ll definitely be there. In 5 years I’ll still be traveling, modeling, acting, and I’ll likely be in grad school at UCLA.
Pixacom: What is the coolest thing a fan has ever done for you?
Amanda Redd: Congratulating me after seeing a film I’ve done. I still get very tickled when I get asked for an autograph.
Pixacom: Any photographers you enjoy working with or hope to work with?
Amanda Redd: I enjoy working with Southbound, DK, Christian Behr, John Fisher… to name a few. I hope to work with Robert Voltaire when I get to L.A. among many, many others.
Pixacom: Which ineternet websites would you say you spend most of your time at?
Amanda Redd: You ended that with a preposition. Myspace, Model Mayhem, and Onemodelplace.
Pixacom: Do you travel much for your modeling?
Amanda Redd: I travel constantly… which is hard sometimes especially since I have a fear of flying.
Pixacom: Do you like all the traveling?
Amanda Redd: It’s amazing since I haven’t had the means to travel in so long and now I do it for a living. I’ve been to places I would never have gone without this job… Hawaii, Puerto Rico, L.A., Miami, etc. There are several less glamorous places I’ve traveled to for work, but even those have been amazing. Even if I had the means to travel to these places before I doubt I would have seen as much of these locations as I have. Photoshoots often require hiking and exploring and these are things I would not normally have done. Because of these requirements, I’ve had some of the greatest experiences in my life… seeing some of the most beautiful scenery that one would normally only see on TV or in movies. As much as I love to travel, sometimes I just want to be at home.
Pixacom: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Amanda Redd: I would really like to go to Ireland… the motherland!

Pixacom: If you could play lead role in any type of movie, What kind of movie would it be?
Amanda Redd: I already play lead roles in horror flicks but I think I’d like to try a romantic comedy.
Pixacom: Do you have a favorite Car?
Amanda Redd: I don’t really have much of an interest in cars. I like my Rav 4 though.
Pixacom: What do you think about strip clubs?
Amanda Redd: Fine holiday fun.
Pixacom: Do you have a favorite drink when at clubs or bars?
Amanda Redd: I don’t drink… yeah I’m boring.
Pixacom: What kind of music are you listening to these days?
Amanda Redd: I have a very eclectic taste in music… alternative, blue grass, funk, punk, rock, metal, etc etc…
Pixacom: Tell us something you got away with?
Amanda Redd: I never got away with anything and thank God for that or I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Pixacom: Which celebrity would you like to meet and why?
Amanda Redd: Cate Blanchett because she is an amazing versatile actress who can play anyone from Bob Dylan to Queen Elizabeth to a neurotic housewife.
Pixacom: If you could be a super hero, what would that superhero be like?
Amanda Redd: *sigh* I wanna fly
Pixacom: How would you feel if a guy passed gas on a first date?
Amanda Redd: If I didn’t like him much in the first place, I’d like him less. If I did like him in the first place, I’d like him more. It’s a paradox.
Pixacom: Find a lamp and out pops a Genie, you get one wish, what would it be?
Amanda Redd: Give me a PHD in Psychology along with all the knowledge it takes to get me there.
Pixacom: We grant you the power to create the perfect man. Describe the features you would include?
Amanda Redd: No need. I already have him.

Pixacom: Are you single now?
Amanda Redd: Nope
Pixacom: Tell us about the person your with today?
Amanda Redd: He’s an editor and a writer and a film critic and the coolest, smartest, cutest, most awesome guy I know, and he’s my best friend.
Pixacom: Give us the dirt on your dating life. Any first date rules?
Amanda Redd: nah no rules
Pixacom: Do you kiss on the first date?
Amanda Redd: sometimes
Pixacom: How many kids in highschool have asked you out?
Amanda Redd: I have no idea. I haven’t been in high school in a very long time.
Pixacom: Should a person call right away or wait a few days?
Amanda Redd: wait one day
Pixacom: What kind of guy bugs you?
Amanda Redd: controlling, manipulative guys without an ounce of self-awareness.
Pixacom: What does a guy need to do to make you stay?
Amanda Redd: Support my decisions and career, make me laugh, and watch movies and snuggle with me.
Pixacom: On a date... What does the person have to do to make it perfect for you?
Amanda Redd: I really don’t like conventional dates; they seem awkward and contrived to me, but I’m strange.

Pixacom: Do you have any dreams or goals you're shooting for?
Amanda Redd: My life is up in the air right now. I’m shooting for being a more successful working actor than I am now, but I will not rely on that. I have lots of interests so I am a full time student and I intend to go to grad school to become a psychologist.
Pixacom: Where can we expect to see you at in the future? (Tv, Movies, Events)
Amanda Redd: Walking down the red carpet to the Oscars… or sitting in a big chair listening to your problems and writing a book about relationships.

Pixacom: Do you want to say anything to your fans?
Amanda Redd: Boobs… I just want to say that again… Boobs.
